Trust Lacrosse Summer Camp

August 10–12, 2026 · Burnt Hills Box Lacrosse Field at Indian Meadows Park.

Trust Lacrosse brought together local players for three days focused on skill development, competition and having fun playing the game. Players worked directly with the Trust coaching staff through drills, position work and live competition.

Coach Jim Townsend, founder of Trust Lacrosse

Founder & Director

Jim Townsend

Coach Townsend is the all-time winningest coach in RPI lacrosse history and brings more than 40 years of coaching experience to Trust Lacrosse. His approach centers on fundamentals, discipline, respect and technical proficiency.

He played at Salisbury University, served as team captain, earned team MVP honors and reached the NCAA Final Four. During a 26-year career as an NCAA Division III head coach at RPI and McDaniel College, he compiled a 234–136 record, led multiple NCAA Tournament teams and won five league championships.

Coach Townsend began at Corning East High School under Hall of Fame coaches Joe Corcoran and Bob Streeten. He later coached at the high school level and most recently served as offensive coordinator at Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake High School, contributing to three consecutive Section 2 titles. He also gives back as a member of the Capital District Lacrosse Officials Association.

Rocco Mareno

Faceoff Specialist

Rocco Mareno

Rocco is a former Division I faceoff specialist who competed at Towson University and UAlbany. In 2025, he led UAlbany’s faceoff unit and collected 45 ground balls.

A Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake graduate, Rocco was a 2022 USA Lacrosse All-American and a two-time First Team All-Section 2 faceoff specialist. As a senior, he won 74.8% of his faceoffs while adding 10 goals and 38 assists.
